Before coffee became the seed, there was the fruit—and we're finally giving it the attention it deserves. Cascara is the dried skin and pulp of the coffee cherry, traditionally discarded as waste during processing. We're changing that. Our cascara is carefully dried on raised beds at our partner farms, then lightly processed to create a unique tea-like beverage. Steep in hot water for hibiscus-like tartness and cherry sweetness; cold-brew for a refreshing, subtly caffeinated alternative to coffee. Cascara contains roughly 1/4 the caffeine of coffee—perfect for afternoon sipping or customers seeking something lighter. By creating market demand for cascara, we're helping farmers earn income from what was once agricultural waste. Brew 15g per 250ml water, steep 4-5 minutes. Also excellent in cocktails.
